01 / Designed for everyday living
Quartz countertops bring an engineered surface into your kitchen or bathroom, with designs ranging from quiet, uniform tones to expressive, marble-inspired veining. It’s a useful starting point when you want to coordinate the countertop with the rest of your room.
At Peerless Stone, we help Chicagoland homeowners connect that design choice with custom fabrication and installation. Bring your ideas and cabinet samples; we’ll talk through the pattern, layout, and details before the pieces are made.

02 / Daily care
Quartz generally does not need sealing. Use the selected manufacturer’s cleaning guidance to care for its finish.
03 / A complete room
Consider the island, perimeter countertops, and backsplash together so the surface feels like part of the whole space.
The customer perspective
Explore custom quartz countertops for Chicagoland kitchens and bathrooms, with slab selection, fabrication, and installation coordinated from our Franklin Park workshop.
“The white quartz countertops make our Schaumburg kitchen feel so much brighter. Comparing full samples helped us choose subtle veining that works with our backsplash instead of competing with it.”
“We picked a marble-look quartz for our Arlington Heights kitchen island. The team walked us through the edge options and measurements, and the finished proportions look wonderful with our new cabinets.”
“We wanted quartz with a softer pattern for our Des Plaines remodel. Communication was clear, the installation was carefully planned, and the countertops bring the entire room together.”
02 / From sample to space
A small sample helps introduce a color. A larger view helps you understand the scale and direction of the design across an island or long countertop run.
Talk through how the design will run across the countertop and adjoining pieces. Large patterns deserve particular attention at seams and corners.
Compare the edge profile with your cabinet style. If you’re considering a waterfall end, discuss pattern alignment, material requirements, and fabrication scope.
Share sink and cooktop specifications early. Cutouts, overhangs, cabinet support, and access all need to work together.
Choose the actual product and finish, then review its care instructions and warranty terms. Ask us about current options and availability.

05 / Everyday habits
Follow your specific brand’s instructions. For an example, review MSI’s quartz care guidance.
Use a soft cloth, warm water, and a manufacturer-approved cleaner. Wipe up spills and avoid abrasive pads or harsh chemicals.
Use trivets or hot pads beneath hot cookware and heat-producing appliances. Heat protection is still part of caring for quartz.
Quartz generally needs no sealer. Do not add coatings or treatments without the product manufacturer’s approval.
Before you decide

No. Countertop quartz is an engineered product. Quartzite is a natural stone. Their appearance, fabrication, and care requirements differ, so confirm which material you are selecting.
Quartz generally does not need sealing. Follow the selected manufacturer’s care instructions rather than applying a natural-stone sealing routine.
Many quartz collections offer veined designs inspired by natural stone. Review larger samples or slab views to judge the scale and repeat of the pattern.
That depends on the available slab size, the island dimensions, access, and fabrication requirements. Review the proposed seam plan before fabrication.
Do not assume an indoor quartz product is suitable outdoors. Choose a product expressly approved for that application and review the manufacturer’s installation and warranty requirements.
Start with rough dimensions or a cabinet plan, room photos, your project location, and any selected sink or cooktop details. Final fabrication needs confirmed measurements.
